The show features the proud descendants of French Canadian refugees who settled in the swamp region of Louisiana in the 18th century. They struggle to preserve their way of life in the Atchafalaya Basin during the alligator-hunting season.
Wheat joined the cast of the show in its 12th season which aired from 3 February 2021 to 27 May 2021. She is known as a gator hunter and enjoys hunting alligators in the swamp region of the Atchafalaya River Basin.
One of the youngest cast members in the show, she is known for having a close relationship with Troy Landry, one of the main cast of the show. They were often confused as relatives by their blood which is not true.
