Shia LaBeouf has been in the headlines for less than positive reasons for the last couple of years. Recently, Shia found himself the target of a new lawsuit from his former girlfriend, FKA Twigs, who accused him of abuse.
As it was previously reported, FKA Twigs, the British singer, filed a lawsuit against Shia approximately two weeks ago in which she accused him of infliction of emotional distress, battery, gross negligence, assault, sexual battery, and more.
Since then, Page Six says that Shia’s name has been removed from Netflix’s list of entertainers who would be up for an award in 2021. Previously, Shia was up for a nomination for his work in Pieces of A Woman, IndieWire reported.
According to Page Six, Shia portrayed Vanessa Kirby’s husband in the movie. Netflix has removed Shia’s name from their list of entertainers worthy of an award but has kept Kirby’s name on the list. Kirby was reportedly praised by the Venice Film Festival for her work, as was Shia.

Thus far, Shia has taken responsibility for some of the things he has been accused of. For instance, just one week ago, the 34-year-old admitted to being abusive toward others while he struggled with drinking.
LaBeouf wrote in his statement that he did a lot of shameful things to those closest to him and he had nothing else to say about it. The actor said he had “no excuses” for what he did. As for what the actor did, FKA Twigs claims Shia once locked her inside a room of his house while she was trying to move out her belongings.
FKA Twigs also says Shia once squeezed her arm so hard that she began to bruise. The singer-songwriter explained why she never told the police, saying how she never would’ve thought anyone would’ve taken her seriously.

Another star to come out with stories regarding Shia was the singer-songwriter, Sia, who claimed the actor “conned” her into an adulterous relationship. According to Page Six, the film, Pieces of a Woman, comes out on the 30th of December.
